Zapier Integration Docs
📖 Introduction#
This document will help you understand how to use the deskmy API Webhooks to create a Zapier Integration. You can use Zapier for two actions: Thread Creation and Sending Messages in Threads
Creating a Zapier Integration#
To create a Zapier Integration, please access the Webhook Integration page. There, you are going to select + Webhook Integration, at the lower right corner (as showed below).

Now you are going to select Zapier Integration:

Once you do, a new Integration will show up on the list. To edit it, click on Details. With this new Integration, you can create both Thread Creation and Thread Message Actions on Zapier. If you need multiple Thread Creations with different users, you can create multiple Zapier Integrations.
Now that you created your Zapier Integration, you can already configure your Zapier Actions Account. You can find the Bearer Token on the Details section of the Integration, under the Show Token Field. Once you get the token, go over to Zapier and create a new Zap with deskmy.

When configuring your Account, just use the token you got from the Integration Details.

Now you can configure the deskmy webhook to your specific action, as seen below.
@ Configuring Thread Creation Action#
This webhook allows you to create new threads using external services date from. By creating a new thread, you also need to set a title, and send an initial message with it.
With Zapier Integration configured, you just need to select the users that will receive the new threads, in the Thread Creation Action Users section.

Now, over at Zapier, you can configure how the thread will be created. You can set the title and the initial message of the thread.
💬 Configuring Send Message Action#
This webhook allows you to send message in threads using external services. You need to select a thread to send your messages to. You can do that on the Thread Message Action Target section of the Zapier Integration menu

Once you select a thread, all messages triggered by Zapier will show up there! It’s that easy!
Customizing Sender Indentification#
You can also customize the sender identification of the messages sent by the webhook. To do that, just edit the Zapier integration at the menu with a name and a profile picture of your liking.
